Optical manipulation and sensing for biomedical applications

Our research focus is on developing automated optical systems that can be applied for the next generation of implant technologies. Specifically, we develop precise optical tools for optogenetic implants, measure forces in living cells at the molecular scale with optical tweezers and engineer soft optics and biomaterials for sensing applications.
