Scientific expertise of research group

  1. Research and development in the area of computer and robot assisted surgery for accurate and safe intraoperative guidance of implants. Depending on the surgical discipline, a variety of methods and instruments are available.

  2. Rapid prototyping is investigated to assist implantation procedure, especially including mechanical aspects and different material mixtures. Form fit and closures are analyzed to set an optimal pose for rapid prototyped instruments.

  3. A joint research project between several institutes and clinics of MHH and LUH is conducted in our lab and office space at NIFE (OCT controlled laser ablation during phonation of vocal cord, ERDF funds)
