On March 20, 2026, we will welcome students from Hanover's school to NIFE. At the Uni Stem Days, we will present our research and show how we can keep lungs alive outside the body. Our research focuses on the development of new therapies for lung diseases. We show students how we can keep lungs alive outside the body in order to develop new therapies and at the same time observe them optimally. An important focus of our research is the development of methods to introduce stem cell-derived cells into the lungs. This could help to fight resistant infections and develop new therapies for lung diseases. We are delighted to welcome the students from Hannover's school to NIFE and hope that our research will inspire them to look to the future and perhaps pursue their own research careers.
