The Lower Saxony Center for Biomedical Engineering is once again fulfilling its pioneering role: In March, the International Interdisciplinary Alliance against Implant-Related Infections (I4A) was founded at the MHH - a European alliance that cooperates closely with the North American "Multidisciplinary Alliance against Implant-Related Infections". "With our alliance, we want to advance research into the diagnosis and therapy of these infections in a targeted manner, define treatment approaches on an interdisciplinary basis, and discuss suitable strategies with representatives of industry and the healthcare system," emphasizes Professor Dr. Meike Stiesch, Scientific Director of the I4A Alliance and Director of the MHH Clinic for Dental Prosthetics and Biomedical Materials Science.
